� � . <br /> (�) Disposal by Public Sale. After the sixty-day <br /> period, all unclaimed or abandoned motor vehicles <br /> shall be dis�osed of by public auction. <br /> (c) Notice to Registered Owner. At least thirty (30) <br /> daXs prior to the public auction of such motor <br /> vehicles, the Chief of Police shall mail a notice <br /> to the registered owner of such motor vehicles , if <br /> anX, at the last kno�n address of such owner as <br /> shown by the records of the Minnesota 5tate Regis- <br /> trar of Motor Vehicles. The notice shall describe <br /> the vehicle and the date, time and place of such <br /> public auction. <br /> 112. 40. Summary Disposal. The Chief of Police may <br /> without notice and in such manner as he determines to be in <br /> the public interest summarily dispose of any property coming <br /> into his possession which he determines to. be dangerous or <br /> �erishable. He shall make a record of the pertinent facts <br /> of the receipt and disposal of such property. <br /> Section 2. The Municipal Code of the City of Orono is <br /> amended by amending Section 53. 050 as follows: <br /> 53. 050 Disposal of Illegally Parked Vehicles. If any <br /> persons shall vio�ate the terms and provisions hereof <br /> the village police on discovery of such violation may <br /> forthwith remove or cause to be removed such vehicle <br /> from the place where found to any public garage and such <br /> vehicle shall not be de�ivered to the owner thereof until <br /> the cost of such removal together with the cost of the <br /> storage of such vehicle shall have been paid to the <br /> Village. In the event that the owner of such vehicle <br /> shall not pay such cost of removal or storage charges <br /> � within six (6) months subsequent to the removal thereof <br /> to such garage, the vehicle sha11 be considered to be <br /> unclaimed and shall be disposed of in accordance with <br /> 5ection 112. 30. <br /> Section 3. This ordinance shall be published in the <br /> Mound-Westonka Minnetonka Sun and shall be effective upon <br /> �ublication. <br /> Passed by the Oror.o Council this 24thday of June , <br /> 1975 , by a vote of ayes and nays. <br /> � <br /> Robert L.
