"a• ORDINANCE NO. 234 <br /> �e <br /> AN ORDINANCE AMENDING �CHAPTER 53 <br /> OF THE ORONO MUNICIPAL CODE RELATING TO <br /> PARKING ON STREET5 AND MUNICIPAL PARKING LOTS REGULATIONS <br /> Section l, Chapter 53 of the Orono Municipal Code is <br /> amended to read as follows: <br /> 53. 010 . Definitions. As used in this ordinance, <br /> the following words shall be defined as follows : <br /> a. Motor Vehicle shall mean every vehicle <br /> which is self-propelled and not deriving <br /> its power from outside sources. <br /> b. Vehicle shall mean any device on wheels <br /> or runners for conveying persons or <br /> objects whether motorized or non- <br /> motorized. <br /> c. Municipal Parking Lot shall mean an area <br /> of land displaying clearly marked parking <br /> spaces where signs are posted designating <br /> the parking area as a municipal parking <br /> lot. <br /> 53. 020 . Permitted Uses. A municipal parking lot <br /> may be used only for one or more of the following uses : <br /> a. Parking for motor vehicles by drivers <br /> participating in "Park and Ride" <br /> programs between the hours of 5:00 a.m. <br /> and 2:00 a.m. <br /> b. Parking of vehicles by employees and <br /> customers of local businesses between the <br /> hours of 5:00 a.m. and 2:00 a.m. <br /> c. Parking for emergency motor vehicles. <br /> 53.030. Prohibited Uses. The following specific <br /> uses are prohibited in municipal parking lots : <br /> a. Parking of vehicles between the hours of <br /> 2:00 a.m. and 5:00 a.m. <br /> b. The only motor vehicle expected from (a) <br /> is an emergency motor vehicle on <br /> emergency call. <br />
