� . � , <br /> ORDINANCE NO. 233 <br /> � AN ORDINANCE ADOPTING THE CURRENT 1980 EDITION - <br /> OF THE MINNESOTA STATE BUILDING CODE ' <br /> THE CITY COUNCIL OF ORONO ORDAINS: <br /> SECTION l. The Municipal Code of the 'City of Orono is amended <br /> by amending Chapter 20 to read as follows: <br /> 20. ADOPTION OF MINNESOTA STATE BUILDING CODE <br /> 20. 010 Adoption of Code The Minnesota State Building Code <br /> (hereinafter "State Building Code" or "SBC") has been adopted by <br /> Minnesota Statutes 16. 851 (1977) as a uniform building code applicable <br /> throughout the state. Such code is hereby confirmed as the Building <br /> Code o,f the City of Orono and is hereby adopted and incorporated by <br /> reference as if fully set out herein. One copy of the State Building <br /> Code shall be on file and available for public examination in the office <br /> of the City Clerk. <br /> 20. 020 Current Edition The State Building Code adopted herein <br /> shafl mean the September, 1980 Edition of the State Building Code and all <br /> Codes, Appendicie, Standards and Supplemental Materials as follows: <br /> A. The City of Orono and the State Building Code hereby adopt <br /> by reference the following Codes and Standards as if fully set <br /> out herein: <br /> , 1. 1979 Edition of the Uniform Building Code, identified <br /> as "UBC" ; <br /> 2. 1978 Edition of the National Electric Code, identified <br /> as "NEC" ; <br /> 3. 1978 American National Standard Safety Code for <br /> Elevators, Dumbwaiters, Escalators and Moving Walks, <br /> identified as ANSI A17. 1-1978 and Supplement ANSI A17. 1a- <br /> 1979; <br /> 4 . 1979 Minnesota Plumbing Code, identified as MHD 120 <br /> through MHD 135; <br /> 5. "Flood Proofing Regulations" , June, 1972, Office of <br /> the Chief Engineers, U.S. Army; <br /> 6. Minnesota Heating, Ventilating, Air Conditioning, and <br /> _ Refrigeration Code, identified as SBC 7101 through <br /> ' SBC 8505; , <br />
