Amendments For the purpose of protecting <br /> the public health, safety, and general welfare, the City <br /> Council may from time to time amend this Ordinance. Public <br /> hearings on all proposed amendments shall be held by the <br /> City in the manner prescribed by law. <br /> SECTION 3. <br /> Subdivision 1. Enactment In order that life and property <br /> be safeguarded to a reasonable degree from the hazards of <br /> fire and explosion, this Ordinance is hereby adopted. <br /> Subdivision 2. Repeal Upon the adoption of this Ordinance, <br /> Ordinance No. 108 and Chapter 85 of the Orono Municipal <br /> Code, "FIREWORKS" regulations is repealed in its entirety <br /> to be replaced by provisions of the State Fire Code and <br /> this Ordinance. <br /> Subdivision 3. Publication This Ordinance shall become <br /> effective upon publication in the Lake Minnetonka Sun. <br /> Passed by the City Council on the twenty-fourth day of <br /> July, 1979, by a vote of 4 ayes and 0 nays <br /> William B.
