Ordinance No. 223 � <br /> Page 4 <br /> d) The Building Official of the City of Orono or his <br /> authorized representative. The Building Official shall <br /> be responsible for coordinating enforcement of the Fire <br /> Code with enforcement of the State Building Code and <br /> the Zoning Code of the City of Orono . <br /> 19 205 Fire Prevention Inspections Authorized The Fire Chief, or <br /> his authorized representative, may conduct Fire Prevention Inspections <br /> or educational programs within the Fire Service District of each <br /> respective Fire Department consistent with provisions of the Fire <br /> Code, provisions of the applicable Fire Prevention Contract, standard <br /> practices of said Fire Department and applicable ordinances or <br /> resolutions of the Orono City Council. <br /> 19 . 206 Permits and Fees <br /> a) Wherever the Fire Code or this Ordinance requires a permit <br /> be issued for some activity or use of property, applications <br /> for said permit shall be made to the Building Official of <br /> the City of Orono together with all information required by <br /> by the Building Official or the Fire Chief and a permit <br /> application fee as required by the current City Fee Schedule. <br /> Application fees shall be non-refundable. Payment of an <br /> application fee shall not in and of itself require issuance <br /> or approval of any permit. <br /> b) The Building Official shall refer all Fire Code permit <br /> applications to the Fire Chief of the applicable Fire Service <br /> District who sha11 perform required pre-permit inspections. <br /> The Fire Chief shall upon request by the Building Official <br /> supply a written report to the Building Official prior to <br /> permit issuance. <br /> c) Fire Code p`�ermits shall be issued by the Fire Chief of <br /> the applicable Fire Service District except as otherwise <br /> provided in this Ordinance. One copy of each permit so <br /> 'issued shall be delivered to the Building Official for <br /> permanent record. <br /> d) No Fire Code permit shall be issued if said permit would <br /> au.thorize an activity or use of property or structures <br /> contrary to any provision of the Fire Code, the State <br /> Building Code or the Orono Zoning Code. <br />
