51888.4 C�:03 <br />VAINCIL MEETING <br />TO: Mark Bernhardson, City Administrator MAY 231geo <br />FROM: Mel Kilbo, Chief of Police i/IIf OF MNO <br />DATR: May li, 1988 <br />SUBJECT: Employment of Michael Carlson - Part Time Clerical <br />Mrs. Jean Hoogenakker, our temporary clerical person, has <br />accepted a position with the Plymouth Police Department. We need <br />to hire another person to fill this position during the busy <br />summer months. Michael Carlson is a Reserve Officer, previously <br />employed at Ridgedale Security. He Is a Law Enforcement student <br />and soon will be going to skills portion of this education to <br />became a police officer. <br />I propose to employ Mr. Carlson, Sunday evenings for tape <br />transcription for up to 4 hours a night, to be paid at the rate <br />of $5.18 an hour, not to exceed 128 working days in 1988. <br />In addition to this, Rick Dennison will be taking a leave of <br />absence from his job from June 18th to August 21, 1988 to attend <br />Police Officer skills course. It is requested that Mike Carlson <br />be additionally employed temporairly as a C.S.O. during that <br />period of time at $5.18 per hour. The City currently is <br />terminating the current backup C.S.O. <br />TO: Mayor and City Council <br />FROM- Mark Rernhardson, City AdministrateU M, <br />Forwarded recommending approval.
