Presentation of information to Counc regarding the subject <br />address. <br />2. Determination as to further action the Council desires to <br />take in relationship to this matter. <br />INTRODUCTION - At the Council meeting on May 9, 1988 Mr. Art <br />Touriigeiu presented concerns he had in relationship to the above <br />listed properties prlmairly related to a brush pile and also <br />roofing on the garage. he noted in Attachment C this has been <br />reviewed and the owner has been requested to remove the brush <br />pile and will be given an appropriate period of time to do so. <br />DISCUSSION - In addition to the issue of the brush pile the City <br />6ii 6eeii_pursuing the issue of the two cabins that are currently <br />not hooked to sewer. As you may recall the property was <br />originally assessed for four sewer unit". As a result of the <br />settlement, they were assessed for two units for about $13#599 <br />for the duplex. The City indicated at that time we would <br />initiate hazardous buildings proceedings as the Iwo cabins were <br />not assessed and therefore could not hook up. The City did <br />undertake hazardous building proceedings back in December and the <br />indication from the owner was that the cabins would be removed by <br />the first of May. Subsequent to that they engaged Mr. Carson, <br />who had been the attorney for the Robie Wayne property and they <br />are now contesting that they should be al lowed to hook up the two <br />cabins at the some rate as the assemsment. The City-s position <br />is noted in Attachment A is that if they want to hook up, it is <br />going to cost then $9,364 apiece to do those hook ups. The <br />principle thrust of the hazardous building proceedings was the <br />sewer/septic ithey were currently on the old system that has <br />tailed) however the City does reserve the right to do inter for <br />
