Zoning File #1277 <br />Page 5 <br />Additional Comments and Planning Commission Recommendation <br />The applicant reviewed the current status of the island and the progress <br />that the work crews have made in the process of the removal of the <br />hazardous conditions on the island facility. As Mr. Wisdorf noted, they <br />were quite anxious to get out to the island and continue the clean up <br />process under the required Conditional Use Permit for work crews. As staff <br />noted above, this will be the last season that the City will have to issue <br />a Conditional Use Permit for work crews, as all hazardous conditions will <br />be removed prior to the opening of the camp for day use recreation. <br />Planning Commission had no other comments regarding the Conditional Use <br />Permit for the first phase referred to as the Work Crew Conditional Use <br />Permit and accepted staffs recommendation. The second phase of the <br />Conditions 1 Use Permit referred to as the Day Use Recreation Permit will <br />receive final review and recommendation from the Planning Commission at <br />their June 6, 1988 meeting. The enclosed resolution has been drafted per <br />the Planning Commission recommendation as setforth on pages 2 and 3 above. <br />
