11 0. 30. Impoundment . The Village may impound any <br />animal found at large and sha:1 provide proper sus;tcnancc <br />for any and all animals impounded. The police chief or <br />his designated agent shall give notice to owner (if known <br />to him) within 24 h(,.rs, Sundays excepted. If owner is <br />unknown, written notice shall be posted in two conspicuous <br />places in the Village and puD:_ished once in the official <br />newspaper descri'.A ng the animal and stating that sai3 <br />animal has been impounded. <br />110.35. T ik ing Impounded Animal a Misdemeanor. No <br />legally impounded animal :hall be released except to a <br />person displaying a receipt from the Village Clerk showing <br />payment in full of tho apl:licable costs listed in Section <br />110.60. If any person, without authority of law, and <br />without first paying the costs due, shall take any impounded <br />animal out of the :nclosure in which he is impounded, with- <br />out such receipt, he shall be guilty of a misdemeanor. <br />110.40. Disposition of animal. If any animal is <br />impounded and not redeemed witl-iin six days after notice <br />is posted or four da, following published notice, whichever <br />is later, t]je Village Chief of police or his designated <br />agent shalt give three days pasted notice of the time and <br />place where LOe animal will b2 sold at public auction. <br />110.45. Proceeds of Sale. Procccds of rr.y nalc ^]tall <br />be used to pay the total of costs and fires as 1_sted in <br />Section 110.50. The balance of the funds received for the <br />sale of the animal shall be retained by the Village <br />Treasurer and if not claimer by the ov!ner within one <br />year from the date of sale, the Money shall be paid into. <br />the Village general run3. <br />110.50. Schedule of feces. The following schedule <br />shall be used in cietermininr the total costs due on any <br />animal determined to be at large within the Village: <br />Fine for animal at lard!. <br />1st offense <br />2nd offense <br />3rd offense <br />Care of Impounded Animal <br />Trace and catch animal <br />at large <br />Trailer Char,le <br />$ 5.00 <br />$25.00 (if it occurs within <br />one year of fir:;t <br />offense) <br />$50.00 (if it occurs within <br />one year of first <br />offense) <br />$ 1.50/d,ly <br />$10.00/hour <br />$10.00 pitis .25 per mite for <br />total dir,tanca .involved <br />
