To the extent <br />that the individual desired is from an "Urban" area the Council <br />may choose to re -designate one of the three "At Large" candidates <br />all of whom are in the "Rural" area to achieve the guidelines for <br />designation. Selection of a "Rural" designee would leave the <br />Commission with its present composition of 3 "At Large", 3 <br />"Rural" and 1 "Urban". <br />ALTERNATIVES - <br />I_s_su_e_ 1. interview - <br />1. Conduct and conclude the interviews tonight <br />2. Continue the interview for a later meeting <br />Issue 2. Se_lection - <br />A. Make a selection following completion of interviews <br />B. Table selection until the May 9th meeting <br />C. Table until another mp% ing <br />D. Ask for further applications <br />is_s_u_e_ 3. Redebignatiun <br />A. Designate current members as needed following <br />selection tonight <br />+�. Table to determine `f it will be required following <br />selection at a su::.Y ^ nt meeting <br />RECOMMENDATION - It is recommended that following the interviews <br />ihaE't_he Council table any selection until the May 9th meeting as <br />an appointment at either this meeting or the next meeting will <br />still have an appointment in place by the Planning Commission's <br />May 16th Planning Commission meeting. (The tentative meel.ing <br />scheduled for the 2nd will not need to take place.) That the <br />Council defer any redesignation until such time as a selection is <br />made. <br />PROPOSED MCTION - Moved by , seconded by , that the Council <br />following the interviews table selection of a candidate until the <br />May 9, 1988 Council meeting.
