11. TESTS: All material tuG11s required in the specifications shall be paid <br />for by the City of Orono. This does not eliminate the Contractor's responsi- <br />bility of assisting the Engineer by notification of pit and scale location and <br />other correlated itrmu in advanca of the starting time so that adequate con- <br />trol measures can be established. <br />Test failures shall be retested at the Contractor's expense. <br />12. DRIVEWAYS: Driveway replacement is required on Yoodhill Avenue as a part <br />of this project. Driveways shall be replaced to the existing surfacing as <br />directed by the Engineer. Bituminous driveway replacement shall consist of a <br />minimum of 3 inches of asphalt pavement and 6 inches of Class 5 gravel base. <br />PavID'^r. for bituminous driveways sha'_1 be on a ton basis. The Class 5 gravel <br />br -hall be paid for on a ton basis. The con- tractor shall be required to <br />say, or jack hammer a square edge across the existing bituminous driveway. <br />Payment for 2341 bituminous material for drive- ways shall include bituminous <br />material for mixture, joint sawing, compaction and all other items incidental <br />to the complete driveway surfacing. <br />14. PROPERTY ACCESS: The Contractor shall provide access to each property <br />owner as much as practical during construction. The contractor shall work out <br />an acceptable schedule for access with the City Public Yorks Director. <br />15. GEOTEXTILE STABTLTZATION FA.rRIC: A stabilization type geotextile fabric <br />r <br />shall be spread over the subgrade on Woodhill Avenue prior to placing the <br />gravel base. <br />SP-2 <br />0413934 ` <br />
