2211. AGGREGATE BASE <br />Specific Requirements <br />2211.0. SPECIFICATION REFERENCE: Section 2211 of the State of Minnesota, De- <br />partment of Transportation, "Standard Specifications for Highway Construc- <br />tion", 1083 Edition, and all amendments thereto, shall apply except as modi- <br />fied or altered in the iLlloving Specific Requirements. <br />2211.2.1. AGGREGATE: Aggregate material used for this project shall be in ac- <br />cordance with Mn/DOT Section 2211 -or Class 5 gravel base (1001 crushed) or <br />for Class 3 aggregate base. <br />2211.3. CONSTRUCTION REQUIREMENTS: The subgrade shall be inspected, checked, <br />and approved by the Engineer prior to placement of aggregate: base. <br />The aggregate base shall be compacted by the method called 'specified density' <br />to 100I standard density in accordance with specified density requirements. <br />Driveways shall be regraded where necessary as directed by the Engineer. Six <br />inches of Class 5 bhall be placed or, all driveways. <br />2211.4. METHOD OF MEASUREMENT: Aggregate base Class 5 used on this project <br />shall be measured by weight in tons of material deposited on the roadway as <br />required by the typical section shoM:t on t'...: plans. <br />2211.5. PA:,IS OF PAYMENT: Payment for aggregate base Class 5 shall be by the <br />ton compacted i;.place.
