Zoning File #1258 <br />April 4, 1988 <br />Page 2 of ? <br />Planning Committee Recommendation <br />Planning Commission revi•�wed this application at their March meeting, <br />and recommended approval of the variances and Conditional Use Permit for <br />the house addition, but recommended denial of the side setback variance for <br />the attached garage. The affected neighbor was present and expressed that <br />he would feel "walled i.." by the further extention of an already severe <br />side setback encroachment by his neighbors's residence (see north elevation <br />of house; garage as proposed would increase length of side setback <br />encroachment to nearly 901). Applicants noted that maintaining the <br />existing setback would be architecturally more appropriate than offsetting <br />the garage addition. The Planning Commission felt that an offset was <br />appropriate. <br />Staff Recommendation <br />Staff would recommend approval per the Planning Commission <br />recommendation. A resolution reflecting that recommendation is attached <br />for Council review. <br />
