City of ORONOr-) <br />RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COLINC: <br />NO. <br />RESOLUTION ORDERING STORK SEWER FRESIBILITY REPORT <br />FOR STORK WATER IN THE HIGHWOOD/NORTH SHORE DRIVE AREA <br />WHEREAS, the City of Orono has received a petition frnm <br />seven Highwood Road area residents requesting the City to rev i, w <br />a storm water ponding problem, an.; <br />WHEREAS, the City staff has reviewed the petition and <br />has determined that further study of the area is necessary to <br />determine the extent of the storm water problem, and <br />WHEREAS, the City Council has reviewed the information <br />presented to them and received comments from the affected <br />property owners, and <br />WHEREAS, the Orono City Council feels that more <br />information is needed to determi-n the extent of an existing <br />storm water ponding problem and if the existing storm sewer <br />system is inadequate, and <br />WHEREAS, the most efficient ma;-r-er in whir:: to obtain <br />this information is to perform a fear- •ility study, which will <br />determine the extent of the proble:A, if one exists, number of <br />acres included in the drainage area &nd -he most efficient and <br />cost effective manner in which to proceer: if it is determined to <br />be a significant probl^m involving City c` Dr, o action. <br />:VOW, THEREFORE BE IT ?SOLVED, -'-at the City Council Of <br />the Cif-y of Orcro that the City Enginc cr b- *.nstructed to study <br />and report to the Cc •? 1 with all conve::'.s.it speed, advising the <br />Council in a prelimi_.At:y way as to t''_,, fez:;;ibility and estimated <br />costs to benef fitted properties in the water run-off area. <br />Adopted by the City Cou•-cil c2 2.a City of Ororo this <br />14th day of September, 1987_ <br />James R.
