Gerhardson, Public Works Director! <br />ry DATE: March 23, 1988 �� ®�lJ <br />SUBJECT: Highwood Storm Sewer Fc sibility Report <br />In August 1987 the Orono Council directed the City Engineer <br />to ,erf.>rm a feasibility study for storm sewer in the Highwood <br />area. <br />'..he reason for the study was due to a petition by Highwood <br />residents requesting a solution to a storm water ponding problem. <br />Attached for review is the feasibility study performed by <br />the engineer. <br />On page 5 of the report i^ a recommended schedule to follow <br />if we wish to proceed, I feel April 11 is too soon to <br />hold a public hearing due essary notification to residents <br />and publication of notice legal newspaper. <br />Recommendation - To accept the story; sewer feasibility report for <br />tl.z Hl(j1:WOod area r-.j presented and t-j designate April 25, 1988 as <br />the public hearing date. <br />Proposed motion moved, second, to accept the <br />Corm sewer feasibility report for the tIighwoe area as presented <br />and � ., cignate April 2r 11188 as the public .gearing date. <br />TO: Mayor Grabek, <br />Orono Council Members <br />Maik Bernhardson, City AdministratoW7� <br />'.VtACHMEHT: A) Highwood storm sewer memo dated August 31, 1987 <br />B) Excorpt of council minutes 8/24/87 and 9/10/87 <br />C) Highwood storm sewer resolution <br />Forward recorimending approval.
