COUNCIL MEETING <br />MAR 14 19C`3 <br />MINUTES OF THE REGULAR ORONO COUNCIL MEETING HELD FEBRUARY 22, 1988 <br />ATTENDANCE 7:03 P.M. CITY OF 0RUN0 <br />The Council met on the above date with the following <br />members present: Mayor Grabek, Councilmembers Peterson, <br />Callahan, and Goetten. Councilmember Sime was absent. <br />The following represented the City staff: City <br />Administrator Bernhardson, Public Works Director <br />Gerhardson, Building & Zoning Administrator Mabusth, and <br />City Recorder Peterson. City Attorney Barrett was also <br />present. <br />CONSENT AGENDA* <br />It was moved by Councilmember Goetten, seconded by <br />Councilmember Peterson, to approve the Consent Agenda <br />subject to removal of the following items: <br />N2 -Approval of February 8, 1988 Minutes - requested <br />by Councilmember Goetten <br />#11-Crystal Bay Road -Shoreline Damage Repair - <br />requested by Councilmember Callahan <br />N15-Inclement Weather Policy - requested by <br />Councilmembers Goetten and Peterson <br />116-1988 Materials and Equipment .'id Award - <br />requested by Councilmember Peterson <br />N23-Bills - requested by Councilmember Peterson <br />Motion, Ayes 4, Nays 0. <br />APPROVAL OF MINUTES <br />Referring to application #1223 John Waldron (page 3, <br />last paragraph) of the minutes, Councilmember Goetten <br />requested an amendment as follows: <br />Councilmember Goetten concurred with Mayor Grabek <br />noting that grading plans and more information on <br />soil disturbance are needed. <br />It was moved by Councilmember Goetten, seconded by Mayor <br />Grabek, to approve the February 8, 1988 Council Minutes <br />as amended. Motion, Ayes, 4 Nays 0. <br />IJ= MINNETONKA CONSERVATION DISTRICT REPORT <br />LMCD Representative JoEllen Hurr reported on the <br />following items: <br />-To date, 38 applications for *he LMCD Executive <br />Director position. The dline date for <br />applications is April 1, 198 is anticipated <br />that approximately 70 applicatz %.:ll be recieved <br />including some from out of state-licants. <br />-Regarding the review by the Metropolitan Council of <br />the Lake Minnetonka Conservation District: The <br />Parks and Open Space Commission has passed the LMCD <br />Comprehensive Plan with a staf' recommendation. The <br />Metropolitan Systems Committ a has questioned the <br />progress of the LMCD and may consider a loan instead <br />of a grant. A copy of the report will he sent to <br />
