g. Accumulated sick leave gannet be transferred from one <br />employee to another employee. <br />h. An employee who makes a false claim of sick leave will be <br />subject to disciplinary measures, including discharge. <br />i. Sick leave will be posted for all employees on their <br />paychecks. <br />4. Emergency Leave. Permission to take paid emergency leave <br />may be granted by the Administrator to each regular employee who <br />upon advance request and recommendation by the department head <br />furnishes adequate proof that a necessary medical appointment, <br />serious illness or death has occurred within the employee's <br />immediate family. The term "immediate family" shall include the <br />spouse, children, brother, sister, grandmother, grandfather, <br />mother, and father of the employee or the employee's spouse. <br />Relatives of the employee other than those listed above living in <br />the employee's household will not be considered members of the <br />immediate family. <br />Paid emergency leave shall not be granted for a period to <br />exceed three (3) consecu i ve calendar days unless authorized by <br />the Administrator. Emergency leave shall be deducted from <br />accumulated sick leave. <br />309. MILITARY LEAVE <br />1. The reinstatement to City employment of any person who <br />enters the military service of the United States by reason of an <br />Act of Law enacted by the Congress of the United States, or who <br />voluntarily enlists during the effective period of such law, shall <br />be determined in accordance with the provisions of the law <br />granting such rights. <br />2. Regular full-time employees who are members with active <br />status of an armed forces reserve unit shall, at their request, be <br />granted military leave when called to active duty for a period not <br />to exceed two (2) weeks annually. Employees granted such leave <br />shall receive such military pay and their regular straight time <br />pay, provided the employee submits to the Treasurer proof of such <br />military pay. <br />310. JURY DUTY LEAVE <br />1. Employees who meet certain criteria shall be granted paid <br />leaves of absence for required jury duty in comformance with state <br />law. Such employees shall receive that portion of their regular <br />compensation which will, together with their jury pay of fees, <br />equal their total compensation for the same period. The time <br />spent on jary duty shall not be counted as time worked in <br />computing overtime. An employee excused or released from jury <br />duty during their regular working hours shall report tc the <br />employee's supervisor immediately. <br />5 <br />
