Agreement No. PW 74-08-87 <br />WHEREAS, It is contemplated that said work be carried out by the parties hereto <br />under the provisions of M.S. SEC. 162.17, Subd. 1 and SEC. 471.59. <br />NOW THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY AGREED: <br />I <br />That the County or its agents will advertise for bids for the work and <br />construction of the aforesaid Project No. 8024, receive and open bids pursuant to said <br />advertisement and enter into a contract with the successful bidder at the unit prices <br />specified in the bid of such bidder, according to law in such case provided for <br />counties. The contract will be in form and will include the plans and specifications <br />prepared by the County or its agents, which said plans and specifi-ations are by this <br />reference made a part hereof. <br />II <br />The County will administer the contract and inspect the construction of the <br />'ract work contemplated herewith. However, the City Engineer of Orono shall <br />gyrate with the County Engineer and his staff at their request to the extent <br />necessary, but will have no responsibility for the supervision of the work. <br />III <br />The City agrees to grant highway easements to the County over those lands owned <br />by the City that are a part of the required right of way for said Project No. 8024. <br />Said easements shall be granted at no cost to the County. <br />The County or its agents will acquire all additional rights of way, permits <br />and/or easements required for the construction of said pruject. <br />
