These are being transmitted to <br />you for your information. This letter also serves as a request <br />that, should you desire, the City of Orono would be happy to have <br />you appear at one of their Council meetings. Such an appearance <br />could be a short five to ten minute presentation of significant <br />legislative items you see coming up in the session, comments you <br />may have on any of the City's policies and comments on ways that <br />you feel the City could effectively remain in touch with you a <br />Legislator. <br />As you may know the Association of Metropolitan <br />Municipalities, of which the City of Orono is a member, is <br />working to develop a more effective legislative liaison and <br />contact system with the Legislature and a face to face meeting <br />before and after the session were some of the recommendations <br />made to create better communications between the City and i*s <br />State Legislators. <br />If it is convenient for you, we would like you to atter.c <br />Council on Monday, January 25, 1988 at about 8:00 p.m. Shou. <br />you desire not to atterd or should you desire to set another <br />date, please feel free to contact me. <br />Happy !iol idays !
