Letter of Invitation Dated 12/23/87 <br />B. 1988 Legislative Policy <br />ISSUE - Provide a forum that the Council and State <br />Representatives can discuss the upcoming session as to what the <br />Legislators expect and issues that are of importance to the <br />Councilmembers. <br />INTRODUCTION - As noted <br />on Attachment <br />A State Senator Gen <br />Olson <br />and Stat Representative <br />;i ohn Burger have been invited to <br />spend <br />five to ten minutes dis.,ussing <br />their <br />ideas and views regarding <br />the upcoming legislative <br />session with <br />you. Attached also <br />is the <br />City's policies for the year. Please <br />feel free to address <br />any of <br />these or other issues <br />you feel that are important in <br />this <br />legislative session. <br />RECOMMENDATION - It is recommended that the Council provide the <br />State_Legislators with local feedback as to their interests. <br />PROPOSED MOTION - Moved by , seconded by _ , that the Counci l <br />having discussed the upcoming legislative session with State <br />Senator Gen Olson and State Representative John Burger ar,d <br />commend then for their past ef_orts and thank them for the time <br />they have taken to stay in contact with local city officials and <br />looking to a good working relationship in the upcoming session. <br />Ayes , Nays <br />c(_: Senator Gen Olson <br />Respresentative John Burger <br />
