MINUTES OF THE REGULAR ORONO COUNCIL MEETING HELD JANUARY 11, 1988 <br />COUNTY ROAD 15 CONTINUED <br />4. Special Assessment. Cost should be shared with <br />the County for two County owned properties that <br />front County 15. It has been determined that these <br />two properties were sectioned out of the cost to <br />Orono for upgrading County Road 15 and will be <br />er..tirely paid for by County. <br />Staff recommends adopting the Resolution of Agreement <br />subject to the above items being resolved <br />Counc:lmember Callahan questioned adopting n, agreement <br />before finalization of the agreement. <br />City Administrator Bernhardson stated the County <br />requested adoption as soon as possible, however, Council <br />has the option to table the matter for two weeks. <br />City Attorney Blatz stated that she recommended the <br />agreement not be signed until clarification of specific <br />language has been made. <br />It was moved by Councilmember Callahan, seconded by <br />Councilmember Sime, to table adoption of the agreement <br />pending resolve of the issues of concern. Motion, Ayes <br />4, Nays 0. <br />PLANNING COMMISSION COMMENTS <br />Planning Commission Chairman Kelley was present. He <br />inquired about the 1988 timetable of the Comprehensive <br />Plan Amendment from the Highway 12 Corridor Study. <br />PUBLIC COMMENTS <br />City Administrator Bernhardson stated they expect to <br />hear from the Metro Council by February 15th. Staff is <br />currently working on drafting language for a zoning <br />amen1ment that would incorporate changes within the <br />High.gay 12 corridor. The review process with the <br />Planning Commision would then commence and is <br />anticipated to run through Spring 1988 and hopefully <br />wou:_d be brought to Council for consideration during <br />Summer 1988, with anticipated completion in the Fall <br />198F. <br />There were ro comments from from the public. <br />3 <br />
