DOWDEN CABLE SYSTEMS <br />Mary Smith of Dowden handed out her monthly report. <br />CONNECTS 65 <br />DISCONNECTS 70 <br />BEGINNING SUBSCRIBERS 4272 <br />ENDING SUBSCRIBERS 4267 <br />Hansen asked Mary Smith if more subscribers sign up for the <br />Holiday Season. Smith stated that at this time in the season it <br />is slow and not may people subscribe for the holiday. <br />IV. REGIONAL CHANNEL 6 UPDATE <br />Administrator Hansen has drawn up a Regional channel 6 Format Report <br />for Dowden to use to keep LMCCC informed ,,f what is going on with <br />Regional Channel 6. Dowden has accepted We format. <br />Smith handed out a document to the Commission with tvo options or, <br />Regional Channel 6, (see Appendix B). Hansen questioned the <br />$60,000.00 amount in Option 1, Smith explained to Hansen that the <br />$60,000.00 was just a ball park figure for microwave feed including <br />the cost to send the signal to Chaska and get a receiver on Dowdens <br />end. Smith explained that in Option 2 she feels that there would be <br />signal problems; Roger's Cable System is receiving the signal, but <br />it is not real good. <br />Smith reported that she has explored another option, she stated that <br />if Dowden could orglnate the signal, and pick it up directly from <br />Northwest they would not have to go through the WCCO microwave link. <br />V. UNFINISHED BUSINESS <br />Hansen reported that she has met with some of the City Managers to <br />discuss the production of a new program, this program would involve <br />some discussion with the City Managers following a Council Meeting! <br />they would discuss highlights and important factors of the Council <br />Meetings. <br />VI.
