LAKE MINNETONKA CABLE COMMUNICATIONS COMMISSION <br />5s00 P.M., EXCELSIOR STUDIO A COMMUNICATIONS OFFICE <br />TUESDAY, DECEMBER 15, 1987 <br />Chairman Hagger.y called the December 15, 1987 meeting to order <br />at 5:11 p.m. <br />ROLL CALL <br />Directors Present <br />Dennis Haggerty <br />Jerry Roehl <br />Tom Anderson <br />Dean Johnson <br />Jim Olds <br />Lesley Hughes -Seamans <br />II. APPROVAL OF MINUTES <br />Motion 12.15.87.1: Olds moved <br />the November 17, 1987 minutes <br />unanimously. <br />III. REPORTS <br />A. OFFICERS <br />Chairman Haggerty reported on <br />newspaper, about deregulation <br />of the Must Carry rules. <br />Others Present <br />Mary Smith <br />Holly Hansen <br />Shelly Quaas <br />, seconded by Johnson, to approve <br />as written. Motion carried <br />an article in the Saturday Star Tribune <br />in the cable industry.and elimination <br />B. TREASURER <br />Roehl asked Administrator Hansen about the bill for O'Connor 6 Hannan. <br />Hansen explained that the bill was for June through November. Roehl <br />also asked about the bill for Cinequipt, Inc. Hansen explained that <br />it is a video supply company and funds came out of Dovden's budget, <br />not the Franchise fee. <br />Motion 12.15.87.2: Just Claims: Roehl moved, seconded by Olds, to <br />approve just claims as written on Appendix A. Motion carried <br />unanimously. <br />C. ADMINISTRATOR <br />Hansen informed the Commission that the studio has been very busy <br />this month; there may be as many as thirteen (13) new programs <br />produced in December. Administrator Hansen has applied to have a <br />program about AIDS, that was produced in the studio, to be viewed <br />on Regional Channel 6. I <br />Hansen informed the Commission that January 18th is the deadline for <br />the MACTA Conference. The Conference is January 29 and 30. The cost <br />for two (2) days is $100.00, one (I) day is $60.00 and there is also <br />a dinner on Friday night that costs $15.00. <br />Motion 12.15.87.3: Olds moved to authorize up to ten (10) members <br />to attend the conference. Motion was discussed. <br />Olds then amended his motion to authorize up to $600.00, Notion was <br />then seconded by Anderson. Motion carried unanimously. <br />Administrator Hansen would like to attend a seminar called Video Expo <br />in San Francisco, there is a two day Directing workshop she would like <br />to attend and possibly a half day on a different class. The cost <br />would be approximately $1,300.00 which would cover airfare/hotel, etc. <br />Motion 12.15.87.4, Olds moved, seconded by Hughes -Seamans, to authorize <br />Hansen to attend the seminar. Motion was discussed. Motion was then <br />carried unanimously. <br />-I- <br />
