While there have been positive <br />results on this, improvement in this approach for 1988 <br />should assist in a better line of communications between <br />the City and the residents. <br />COOPERATION/INFLUENCE WITH OTHER AGENCIES - One of the <br />------------------- <br />objectives achieved was the adoption of a program <br />regarding the means by which the City would work to <br />influence other agencies with whom the City deals. The <br />program outlines those agencies with whom the City deals <br />together with the issues and methods for accomplishing <br />the City objectives with those other agencies. <br />LIQUOR STORE SALE - Following a net loss in 1985 and a <br />profit in 1986 the City undertook the sale of its liquor <br />store and completed this sale by rune of 1987. The sale <br />resulted in the City receiving $30,000 over and above <br />its investment in stock and capital and resulted by the <br />end of the year in the transfer of $150,000 from the <br />Liquor Fund to the General Fund. <br />COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT - <br />1. Comprehensive_Plan-#1 - in 1987 the Council appr^ve6 <br />the first comprehensive p.,an amendment since the plan <br />had been submitted to Metropolitan Council in 1980. The <br />reason for this change was to facilitate the hook-up to <br />sewer of a piece of residential property that had a <br />conditional use for a commercial use. <br />2. High.way_12_Corridor - The study of the Highway 12 <br />corridor commenced in late '85 and was concludtJ in <br />late '86. This resulted in th need to develop a <br />comprehensive plan during the first six months of 1987. <br />r <br />
