MINUTES OF THE REGULAR ORONO COUNCIL MEETING HELD DECEMBER 14, 1987 <br />METRO WASTE/CITY OF ORONO -* <br />LETTER OF AGREEMENT <br />It was moved by Councilmember Sime, seconded by <br />Councilmember Callahan, that the Council direct the City <br />Administrator to transmit a letter to Metro Waste <br />Control regarding the terms uner which the Orono - <br />Minnetonka interceptor construction has been approved <br />subject to other appropriate land use control reviews. <br />Motion, Ayes 5, Nays 0. <br />PART TIME POLICE OFFICER EMPLOYMENT* <br />It was moved by Councilmember Sime, seconded by <br />Councilmember Cal lahan, that the City hire Michael D. <br />Carlson as a part time police officer commencing <br />December 21, 1987 at $6.50 per hour for a period not to <br />exceed six months without further Council approval or <br />until Officer Kirnyczuk either returns in a full <br />capacity or staff requests authority to hire a full time <br />officer as i. replacement for Officer Kirnyczuk, further <br />recommend that if Mr. Carlson is not hired that the <br />Council authorizes the hiring of Mr. Robert Olson. <br />Motion, Ayes 5, Nays 0. <br />RESOLUTIONS OF RECOGNITION -* <br />RESOLUTION #2327 - JAMBS MORONCZYNSKI <br />RESOLUTION #2328 - IRVING ENGLISH <br />RESOLUTION #2329 - MARK MORAN <br />It. was moved by Councilmember Sime, seconded by <br />Councilmember Callahan, that Council adopt Resolutions <br />/2327 - #2329 of Recognition to Officer James <br />N.orowszynski, Officer Irving (Chip) English, and Officer <br />!lark Moran. Motion, Ayes 5, Nays 0. <br />1987 INTERFUND TRANSFER AND LOAN PAYMENTS* <br />It was moved by Councilmember Sime, seconded by <br />Councilmember Callahan, that the interfund operating <br />transfers, loan payments and special assessments <br />payments on City property be approved as proposed <br />effective December 31, 1987. Motion, Ayes 5, Na�'s 0. <br />ADMINISTRATOR'S INFORMATION* <br />It was moved by Councilmember Sime, seconded by <br />Councilmember Callahan, to accept City Administrator <br />Bernhardson's Information regarding: 200 Hollander Road, <br />3536 Lyric Avenue, 4635 Tonka view, Comp Plan Amendment <br />t2, LMCD Executive Directorship, 3405 Shoreline Drive, <br />Metro Goose Hunt, Baker Park Deer Hunt, and Goal Settinq <br />Status. Motion, Ayes 5, Nays 0. <br />CITY ATTORNEY'S REPORT: <br />City Attorney Blatz reported that Attorney Tom Barrett <br />was successful in obtaining the order for removal of the <br />Hollander barn hazardous building. <br />14 <br />
