MINUTES OF THE REGULAR ORONO COUNCIL MEETING HELD DECEMBER 14, 1987 <br />1988 LICENSE APPROVAL CONTINUED <br />Jimmie G. Holtz, owner of Ji.mmie's LoVAnge, was present <br />for this matter. He explained that: the after hours <br />violation was made against his will by an employee and <br />he has since fired that employee. <br />It was moved by Mayor Grabek, seconded by Councilmember <br />Goetten, that the Council undertake the following items: <br />1. Approval of licenses for those establishments <br />lir �d in attachments to memo dated December 11, <br />198'. <br />2. That Council establish a public: hearing for <br />January 11, 1988 foc a non -intoxicating malt liquor <br />license for Navarrc Auto. <br />3. That the liquor license for Jimmie's Lounge be <br />approved on the conditions outlined in memo dated <br />December 11, 1987. <br />Motion, Ayes 5, :days 0. <br />ANIMAL CONTROL CONTRACT - LONG LAKE <br />Councilmember Peterson requested clarification regarding <br />the difference between the Long Lake, Spring Park, and <br />Minntonka Beach animal control contracts. <br />Police Chief Kilbo stated it was basically the same <br />contract agreement on a different form. <br />City Administrator Bernhardson noted that Long Lake is <br />contracting an on -call service only. <br />It was moved by Councilmember Peterson, seconded by <br />Mayor Grabek, to approve the An .ma l Control Contrac-:. for <br />the City of Long Lake as presented. Motion, Ayes 5, <br />Nays 0. <br />1988 INSURANCE RENEWALS* <br />It was moved by Councilmember Sime, seconded by <br />Councilmember Callahan, to aMard the City of Orono 1988 <br />insurances to the League of Minnesota Cities Insurance <br />Trust, United Fire & Casualty, Western National, and the <br />St. Paul Companies, effective January 1, 1988, as <br />proposed. Motion; Ayes 5, Nays 0. <br />1988 POLICE SSRVICBS CONTRACTS* <br />It was moved by Councilmember Sime, secorded by <br />Councilmember Callahan, that the Council approve <br />indivigiial contracts with Minnetonka Beach, Spring Park, <br />ai.d J.onc• Lake for police services for 1988.
