C' i # y of ORONO <br />RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL <br />NO. <br />A RESOLUTION GRANTING <br />VARIANCES TO <br />MUNICIPAL ZONING CODE <br />SECTION 10.22, SUBDIVISIONS 1(B) AND 2 <br />FILE #1230 <br />WHEREAS, Raymond and Susan Johnson (hereinafter "the <br />applicants") are the owners of the property located at 2670 Pheasant <br />Road within the City of Orono (hereinafter "City") and legally <br />described as I.ot 21, Pheasant Lawn, Hennepin County, Minnesota; and <br />WIEREAS, the applicants have applied to the City for <br />variance:s o Municipal Zoning Code Section 10.22, Subdivisions 1(B) <br />and 2 to permit the construction of a three season porch and deck <br />addition to the existing residence that would encroach the average <br />iakeshore setback line and require approval -° an excess of h_rdcover <br />to be maintained at 34.4% Mit;iin the 75-250' setback area. <br />Minnesota: <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of Orono, <br />FINDINGS <br />1. This application was reviewed as Zoning File 01230. <br />2. The property is located in the LR-lB Lakeshore Residential <br />Zoning District. <br />3. The Orono Planning Commission reviewed this application on <br />December 21, 1987, and recommended approval of the pr-nosed <br />variances based upon the following findings: <br />A. The ' �-Iion of the subject house on the property screer: <br />the e; re addition from neighboring property on east, <br />technically the most affected by encroachment. <br />B. Plantings along east side of patio area provide year <br />around screening for property to the east. <br />C. The neighboring property owner on the west, the property <br />to sustain and experience most visual impact from new <br />construction, has submitted a letter apnroving she proposal. <br />D.
