"Placement of Roads and Parking Areas - The placemen�t <br /> of roads and parking areas shall be controlled in order <br /> to retard the runoff of surface waters and excess nutrients . `� <br /> • The placement of roads and parking ar�as shall be controlled <br /> � by the municipal shoreland ordinances in accordance with <br /> the following criteria : <br /> aa) No impervious surface shall be placed within <br /> 50 feet of the ordinary high water mark. � <br /> bb) j�There feasible and practical, all roads and . <br /> parking areas shall meet the setback requirements � <br /> established for structures in NR83. ' <br /> cc) Natural vegetation or other natural materials <br /> � . shall be used in order to screen parking areas <br /> when viewed irom the water. " - <br /> , d) Sanitary Provisions : "In order to insure safe and healthful <br /> � conditioris, to prevent pollution and contamination of surface <br /> and ground waters , and to guide development compatible with <br /> . the natural characteristics of shorelands and related water <br /> resources, municipal shoreland ordinances shall control <br /> • individual water supply and waste disposal systems in respect <br /> to location, construction, repair, use, and maintenance; and <br /> shall control commercial, agricultural, industrial and <br /> - � municipal waste disposal, and solid waste disposal sites�. " <br /> 1. � Water � Supply: .. <br /> � bb) "Private wells shall be placed in areas not <br /> ' subject to flooding and upslope from any source <br /> of contamination..: Wells already existing in areas <br /> subject to floodin� shall be flood proofed in <br /> � � accordance with accepted engineering standards . Sewage and �'aste Disposal: "Any premises used for <br /> human occupancy shall be provided with an adequate <br /> � method of sewage disposal to be maintained in accordance <br /> • with acceptable practices . " <br /> bb) "All private sewage and other sanitary waste . <br /> � ' disposal systems shall conform to applicable <br /> � standards , criteria, rules and regulations of <br /> • the Minnesota Department of Health, the Pollution <br /> � :,ontrol Agency, and any applicable local government <br /> regulations in �erms of size, construction, us e, <br /> � � and maintenance.
