Bemhardson: <br />The Lake Minnetonka Conservation District Invites you to participate <br />in a discussion of the Comprehensive Management Plan for Lake <br />Minnetonka on Saturday. December 2. 1989. We respectfully request <br />that you return the enclosed postage-paid RSVP card Indicating your <br />intentions to participate. Please mail it today--whether or not you <br />will be attending. <br />It is particularly important that all city administrators and managers <br />from the 14 comipunltles a^‘tend because each of you have the potential <br />to affect implementation of the plan. <br />The LMCD, the 14 communities, and other managing entitles have been <br />working on the Management Plan since April, 1988. Work on the Draft <br />is rapidly coming to a close. However, we want to be sure that the <br />decision-makers affecting the lake have an opportunity to discuss <br />their concerns on the nine technical topics In the Plan. ^ <br />Enclosed are nine Preliminary Management Plans covering the technical <br />aspects of the Management Plan. Please take time to review each one, <br />paying particular attention to the Individual Management Objectives. <br />Implementation of the Management Plan requires action by the 14 <br />cities, the LMCD, Watershed District, Suburban Hennepin Parks,' - <br />Hennepin County, Metropolitan Council, the Department of Natural <br />Resources and the State Legislature. Accordingly, it is essential <br />that the administrators and managers on the lake fully understand what <br />is being proposed. <br />Again, we urge you to attend. <br />RSVP card today. <br />Please complete and return the enclosed
