, � � z Resolution No. 1080 • Page 2 WHEREAS, the City Council desires to assist the property owners of the neighborhood in the efficient, economical , practical and successful solution of their sewage treatment problems, which assistance may culminate in the construction of a sanitary sewer collection system in the neighborhood; and WHEREAS, any public improvement project of this sort must be undertaken according to the laws of the State of Minnesota, and may include financing by means of assessment of all or a portion of the costs of the improvement to the benefited properties, pursuant to Minnesota Statutes Chapter 429 , NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of Orono hereby orders and instructs the City Engineer to study the proposed improvement project and to report to the Council with all convenient speed advising the Council in a preliminary way as to whether the proposed project is feasible and as to whether it should best be made as proposed or in some other manner, and the estimated time of completion and cost of the improvement as recommended, which report should include at least the following information: • 1. Proposed sanitary sewer lateral location. 2 . Location of pumping station or stations. 3. Proposed location and method of service hookup each lot. 4 . Total project cost. 5. Proposed assessment area. 6 . Assessment alternatives. 7 . Estimated cost per unit. 8. Estimated cost for service hookup. 9. Feasibility of proposed project.
