Woodhill Country Club - Request for License
October 4, 1989
The most significant issue is requesting a conditional use permit
for the Country Club itself. Since the Country Club is older
than the City, the land use has been accepted as a country club,
however, under the City Code, the country club use is permitted
with a conditional use permit in a residential zone. The club is
located in the RR-lB residential zone. The liquor license does
require that the licensee must be in conformance with the
applicable sections of the zoning code. (While the Country Club
did receive a conditional use permit and commercial site plan
review a few years ago to do the improvement on the site, this
did not encompass a conditional use permit for the overall usage
of the Country Club.)
It iE staff's opi:.ion that this would be appropriate and that
this policy be followed in relationship for other licensr.s where
they are currently not in conformance with the zoning. (Staff
will be reviewing the Wayzata Country Club status in this regard
when its file has been returned from microfilming.)
The term of this license would be from date of issuance to the
31st of December 1989 and would be subject to renewal beginning
the lst of January 1990.
Councilmembers are invited to view the site of the Barn location.
Should you like a tour, please contact staff of the Country Club
so they can allow you entrance into the Barn facility.
ALTERNATIVES -
1.
