City of ORONCr c? <br />RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COV-h1 . <br />NO. <br />A RESOLUTION APPROVING <br />PRELIMINARY DESIGN OF <br />COUNTY ROAD 116 (WILLOW DRIVE) <br />FROM HIGHWAY 12 TO MEDINA BORDER <br />WHEREAS, the City of Orono is a municipal corporation <br />existing under the laws of Minnesota; and <br />WHEREAS, the City of Orono has been informed that <br />Hennepin County will construct County Road 116 north of Orono in <br />the City of Medina; and <br />WHEREAS, the City of Orono remains opposed to the <br />construction of County 116 South of Highway 55, it is in the best <br />interest of the City of Orono that if constructed to the Medina <br />border that it consider extending County Road 116 south to <br />Highway 12. <br />WHEREAS, residents abutting the proposed road <br />improvement expressed concerns related to the construction and <br />alignment. <br />NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Orono Council <br />does hereby approve the preliminary design of County Road 116 <br />from Highway 12 north to the Orono/Medina border subject to the <br />County working with abutting property owners to address concerns <br />identified at the July 25, 1989, public information meeting and <br />the September 25, 1989, public hearing. <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that final design approval is <br />contingent upon the City of Orono and Hennepin County <br />Commissioners entering into an agreement that there will be no <br />extension of County Road 116 south of HiQ_hwa_v 12 without the <br />consent of the City of Orono. <br />Adopted by the Oronu City Council on this 23rd day of <br />October, 1989. <br />ATTEST: James R.
