County•Rdad 116 <br />October 6, 1989 <br />Page 2 of 2 <br />In addition to the issues outlined in Attachment A and at <br />the September 25th public hearing to be addressed in the final <br />plan design, the City will be requesting the following: <br />A) Signal Traffic Warrants - That the County undertake its <br />best efforts to assist in meeting the warrants in advance of <br />the Highway 12 safety project. As noted in the Highway 12 <br />safety memo, this would inclide warrants based on any <br />additional traffic generated by the installation of County <br />Road 116, which might be completed as much as a year and a <br />half in advance of letting of the Highway 12 safety bid (if <br />it goes). There are other warrants that would be based on <br />the anticipated use of the signal installed a third would be <br />accident warrants based on current statistics. <br />B) No Extension - Agreement that it is outlined regarding no <br />further extension south of High% -ay 12 without Orono Council <br />permission. <br />C) Construction Limits - Staking of the construction limits <br />in advance of the pre iminary deign to allow the persons on <br />the east side the opportunity to see the impact of the <br />construction). <br />Alternatives - <br />1. Adopt a resolution in agreement as presented. <br />2. Amend and adopt. <br />3. Table. <br />4.
