MINUTES OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION MEETING SEPTHMBER 18, 1989 <br />ZONING FILE #1456-EN. LD CONTINUED <br />Mrs. Brad Childs, t.e rrospective buyers of the property. <br />Assistant 2*1a.nning and Zoning Administrator Gaff. i, <br />explained that this is an application requesting approval of .:n <br />after -the -fact structure -to -structure setback variance for a <br />detached garage. Gaffron said that approval of this variance <br />should be conditioned upon inspection by the City to verify that <br />appropriate fire walls exist in both garages. <br />Mr. Childs expressed his support for the approval of the <br />variance. <br />There were no comments from the pu'-lic regarding this :natter <br />and the public hearing was closed. <br />Planning Commissioner Cohen observed that the City had <br />written a letter to the Emfields on -03(ie 17, 1986 and questioned <br />whether anything further happened be-ond that date? <br />Building & Zoning Administrator Mabusth replied that the <br />Emfield's building contractor was -upposed to meet with the <br />City's Building Official, but did not follow through. Mrs. <br />Emfield said that the contractor had indicated that he had <br />followed through, but he had not. <br />There wer.f, no comments from the public regarding this matter <br />and the public hearing was closed. <br />It was moved by Chak -man Kelley, seconded by Planning <br />Commissioner Cohen, to recommend approval of the after-the—faC•c <br />structure -to -structure setback variance for a detached garage, <br />subjer-t to the City's inspection of tha fire wall and that t..e <br />garage main detached.
