Box 66 Crystal Bay, Minnesota 55323 Subject: Proposed On -site sewage Treatment System Mr. James Hanson, Dakota Avenue Dear Hank: We have reviewed the design information relevent to the subject treatment system, prepared by E. A. Hickok and Associates, and would recommend your approval of the permit to construct the system, but with the following reservations. The distribution box should not be fitted with caps as specified to rest half the system, due to the unlikelihood that the caps would be rotated annually. The septic system and drain field may be constructed as a gravity system, with no dosing chamber if elevations allow. The Building In- spector should inspect the site prior to final location of the well site and should assure himself that the well is located at least 75 feet from all drain fields. It would appear that the best site for a well would be to the south of the proposed house in the area of the alternate drain field. We would recommend that the well may be placed here if it is so proposed, but with the stipulation that should the primary drain field fail, a replacement system will have to be constructed at the primary site following excavation and refilling of the primary drain field area; since it appears that no other suitable areas exist on the home site.
