Box 66
Crystal Bay, MN 55323
Re: Enfield Variance Application, 2240 Devin Lane
Dear Council Persons,
We have recently signed a purchase agreement on the above
mentionned property which is contingent on the City of Orono
granting a variance for the existing location of %e detached
garage. We would very much like to purchase this property and
therefore strongly desire that ^ variance be granted. We feel
that the current location of t tached garage enhances the
aesthetic appeal as well as the -,lity of the property.
Mr. and Mrs. Emfield precisely matched the design ani decor of
the detached garage with the other improvements on the property
so carefully that the added garage building is virtually
indistinguishable from the original building. The glass on the
side of the garage wall is aesthetically appealing and wholly
consistent with the design of the house. All in all, the
detached garage is a marked "positive" for the overall property.
Others in the neighborhood must certainly have thought so, or the
issue would not have arisen this long after completion of, and
extensive use of, the detached garage. It is a perfect blend
wish the existing house and to us it appeared from the beginning
to have been built all at one time.
We therefore respectfully request that :.►e variance he granted,
and thank you for your consideration.
Yours very truly,
Aa.. m ,
.#dtza,•- 4'Aev
Brad _,: •'.rea Childs
CC., Mr. and Mrs. Enfield
Mimi Ryerse
