Option 7: Only apply the ALS when existing structures <br />are within the lake setback. <br />• The ALS would be applied to properties with an existing building(s) <br />located within the lake setback, to determine the lakeward extent of <br />the building envelope. <br />• Pros: <br />• If the shore setback is met, the ALS does not apply (75' on Lake Minnetonka). <br />• Acts as a guide for reviewing variances for expansions of buildings within the <br />shore setback. <br />• Cons: <br />• Could allow development closer to the lake. <br />• For conforming lots, this change could impact the protected view over <br />neighboring properties. <br />Kill <br />
