AGENDA ITEM <br />Date: July 14, 2025 <br />Title: Resignation of Part -Time Firefighters <br />Presenter: Shea Chwialkowski, Interm Fire Chief <br />Section: Consent Agenda <br />Purpose: <br />The purpose of this agenda item is to accept the resignations of two Part -Time firefighters. <br />Firefighter Taylor Andres and Firefighter Jake Martin. <br />2. Background: <br />Item: 6 <br />Firefighter Taylor Andres and Firefighter Jake Martin, both founding members of the Orono Fire <br />Department who joined in October 2023, have submitted their resignations. <br />Firefighter Andres is departing to pursue full-time employment with another fire department. <br />Firefighter Martin is resigning as he and his wife are relocating to Iowa to be closer to extended <br />family. <br />We thank both Taylor and Jake for their service and dedication to the Orono Fire Department and <br />wish them well in their future endeavors. <br />3. Staff Recommendation: <br />Staff recommends the acceptance of Firefighter Taylor Andres and Firefighter Jake Martin <br />resignations. <br />COUNCIL ACTION REQUESTED <br />Motion to accept the resignations of Firefighter Taylor Andres and Firefighter Jake Martin. <br />►y: <br />
