shall be provided for a fraction of one-half or more, and no loading space shall be required for a fraction of <br />less than one-half. <br />(b) Loading requirements within the I -Industrial district shall conform to section 78-828 of this chapter. <br />(Code 1984, § 10.61(11); Ord. No. 32 3rd series, § 9, 3-27-2006) <br />Sec. 78-1537. Location of loading berths. <br />All loading berths shall be 25 feet or more from the intersection of two street right-of-way lines. Loading <br />berths shall not occupy any yard requirement bordering a street. <br />(Code 1984, § 10.61(12)) <br />Sec. 78-1538. Size of loading berths. <br />Unless otherwise specified, the first berth required shall not be less than 12 feet in width and 25 feet in <br />length. Additional berths shall be as specified, but not less than 12 feet in width and 25 feet in length. All loading <br />berths shall maintain a height of 14 feet or more. <br />(Code 1984, § 10.61(13)) <br />Sec. 78-1539. Access to loading berths. <br />Each loading berth shall be located with appropriate means of access to a public street or alley in a manner <br />which will least interfere with traffic. <br />(Code 1984, § 10.61(14)) <br />Sec. 78-1540. Surfacing of loading berths. <br />All loading berths and accessways shall be improved with a durable material. <br />(Code 1984, § 10.61(15)) <br />Sec. 78-1541. Storage prohibited. <br />Any area allocated as a required loading berth or access drive, so as to comply with the terms of this division, <br />shall not be used for the storage of goods or inoperable vehicles nor be included as a part of the area necessary to <br />meet the off-street parking area. <br />(Code 1984, § 10.61(16)) <br />Sec. 78-1542. Required loading berths. <br />Where the principal use of the structure served is as listed, the minimum number of loading berths shall be <br />as shown: <br />(1) Auditoriums, convention hall, public building, hospital, school, hotel, sports arena, at least one loading <br />berth 25 feet in length for each building having 1,000 to 10,000 square feet of floor area.
