25. No wood other than permitted by Sec. 2516-c-3 shall be closer than 6" to any earth unless separated by concrete at least 3" thick with an imper- vious membrane installed between the earth and concrete. Sec. 2516-c-7. 26. The ends of beams or girders supported on masonry or concrete shall have not less than 3" of bearing. Sec. 2517-c. 27. Foundation plates or sills shall be bolted as required by Sec. 2907-e. 28. Girders shall be designed to carry all loads imposed on them, end joints shall occur over supports. When spliced over support, an adequate tie shall be provided. Sec. 2517-c. 29. Each joists shall have not less than 1-1/2" bearing on wood or metal, nor less than 3" on masonry. Sec. 2517-d-2. 30.
