No wood other than permitted by Sec. 2516-c-3 shall be closer than 6" <br />to any earth unless separated by concrete at least 3" thick with an imper- <br />vious membrane installed between the earth and concrete. Sec. 2516-c-7. <br />26. The ends of beams or girders supported on masonry or concrete shall <br />have not less than 3" of bearing. Sec. 2517-c. <br />27. Foundation plates or sills shall be bolted as required by Sec. 2907-e. <br />28. Girders shall be designed to carry all loads imposed on them, end <br />joints shall occur over supports. When spliced over support, an adequate <br />tie shall be provided. Sec. 2517-c. <br />29. Each joists shall have not less than 1-1/2" bearing on wood or metal, <br />nor less than 3" on masonry.
