Bernhardson, City Administrate <br />DATE: June 21, 1989 <br />SUBJECT: Audit Presentation <br />CMINCIl MEETWe <br />JUN 2 i 1989 <br />CITY OF ORONO <br />O <br />o <br />ATTACHMENTS: A. 1988 Audit Report/Pannell Kerr Forster <br />ISSUE - Presentation of the audit report to the Council. <br />INTRODUCTION - Annually in June the Council is presented with the <br />audit statement for the past year. <br />DISCUSSION - The audit statement is presented to the Council at <br />this meeting which allows them the opportunity to review it and <br />should they desire, the Auditor would be able to be present at <br />the Council's July 10, 1989 meeting. In addition, following the <br />June 26th meeting staff will transmit to Council the annual <br />management letter from the auditor and at either the July 10th or <br />July 24th meeting will place the summary for publication in the <br />newspaper for the Council to review prior to publication. <br />ALTERNATIVES <br />1. Indicate to staff any questions, issues and areas desiring <br />further clarification. <br />2. Indicate whether ■ y CounciImembers would like to have the <br />auditors present to discuss the issues. <br />3. Table any discussion on the matter until the July 10th <br />meeting. <br />4. Accept the information. <br />RECOMMENDATION - It is recommended that the Council indicate any <br />questions or areas that they would like to have addressed and <br />either staff will address those or have the auditors available <br />for the July 10th meeting.
