Gerhardson, Public Works Director <br />DATE; May 19, 1989 <br />SUBJ: Livingston Avenue Storm Sewer <br />On April 24, 1989, Council accepted a feasibility report <br />from the City Engineer regarding a storm we. . runoff problem at <br />3572 Livingston Avenue. <br />The feasibility report was the res. petition from <br />Mark and Karen Cuff of the above address re^, ing a solution <br />to the flooding problems they have experienced after normal to <br />heavy rainfalls. <br />Following the April 24, 1989, Council Meeting, staff <br />supplied information to Karen Cuff to exhibit to the affected <br />property owners regarding location of a storm sewer and costs per <br />lot. Since that time, neighbors of the Cuff's have submitted <br />preliminary sketch plans of an alternative to the storm sewer by <br />directing the storm above ground to the culvert inlet on <br />Crystal Place. <br />Regardless of which option is taken, easements from the <br />Cuffs, as well as all properties affected downstream, will have <br />to obtained. <br />Cuffs have also submitted information objecting to an above <br />ground drainageway and wish to proceed with an underground storm <br />sewer system. The information presented by the Cuffs on Friday <br />the 19th is additional information that staff and Council has not <br />had time to review. <br />Recommendation; To accept the information from the Cufffs and <br />table any action on this matter until staff has had time to <br />review and report to Council the effect, if any, regarding <br />chemicals being discharged onto the Cuffs' or neighboring <br />properties. <br />Proposed Motion; It was moved by _ _ _seconded by _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _, <br />to table any action on this matter until there has been further <br />staff review regarding chemicals being discharged onto the Cuffs' <br />or neighboring properties. , <br />TO: <br />FROM: <br />Mayor and City Council <br />Mark E.
