' r-'i <br />LMCD Board 4/26/89 <br />2^) The Public Hearing requested date for the Minnetonka Yacht <br />Special Density Permit Has deferred to later in the meeting as part of the <br />Committee minutes'.' <br />Club <br />Dock <br />3) Hurr reported she has been appointed to the Citizen Advisory <br />Committee to the Minnesota Future Resources Commission. Their charge is to <br />recommend how natural resource funds are to be spent, including any possible <br />lottery proceeds. <br />4) Hurr reported Charles Lefevre has left the Lefevre and Lefler law <br />firm to join the Holmes and Graven law firm. The Board will be entertaining <br />proposals from attorneys for professional services sometime about May 1 and <br />until that time will continue the services of Mr. Lefevre. <br />5) Hurr read a proposed statement from the LMCD to be presented at <br />the May 9 Public Hearing about the regional park proposed for Lake Minnetonka, a <br />copy made part of the files. <br />Alan Albrecht, Mayor of Greenwood, stated it is important for the LMCD <br />to comment and support the City of Minnetrista. <br />It was moved by Foster, seconded by Reese, to authorize the statement <br />be presented at the May 9 Public Hearing, after some minor word changes. Motion <br />carried, Lewman abstaining. <br />B.Treasurer/Finance <br />1) Strommen submitted a financial condition report as oT March 31, 1989 <br />which was accepted and filed. Strommen stated he will consult with the account­ <br />ant to refine a quarterly report. <br />2) It was moved by Lewman, seconded by Reese, to approve payment of <br />checks 5364 through 5456 as submitted, totalling 135,842.41. Motion carried <br />unanimously. <br />3) Strommen requested authorization to engage DuWayne L. Schibilla (t <br />Associates to prepare the annual audit at a cost not to exceed 11,000. He also <br />requested authorization to use that firm to assist in preparing a quarterly <br />report. <br />It was moved by Lewman, seconded by Grathwol, to employ DuWayne L. <br />Schibilla & Associates to prepare the annual audit at a cost not to exceed <br />$1,000 and authorize the Executive Director to obtain a cost for preparation of <br />quarterly financial reports. Motion carried unanimously. <br />C. Standing Committees <br />1) WATER STRUCTURES Chair Cochran <br />a) It was moved by Grathwol, seconded by Foster to amerid the <br />minutes of 4/8/89 to indicate the Committee agreed to hold a Public Hearing on <br />May 13, 1989 to consider the request of the Minnetonka Yacht Club and Lake <br />Minnetonka Sailing School. Motion carried, Hurr voting nay and Martinson <br />abstaining.
