Appointment of individuals for the three terms that expired on <br />March 31, 1989. <br />2. Appointment of a Chair and Vice Chair for the Planning <br />Commission for April 1989 through March 1990. <br />INTRODUCTION - At the Council's last meeting they interviewed two <br />applicants for the position; Stephen Johnston and John Thiesse <br />together with taking under consideration the appointments of <br />Charles Kelley, Maureen Bellows and Sara Moos, who had expressed <br />their continued interest in the positions. <br />ALTERNATIVES - <br />Issue 1. Planning Commission Appointments <br />A. Appoint three individuals. <br />B. Choose to table. <br />C. Seek new applicants. <br />Issue 2. Appointment of Chair and Vice Chair <br />A. Select a Chair and Vice Chair. <br />B. Table to the May 8, 1989 Council meeting. <br />C. Take the Planning Commission's recommendation for <br />Chair and Vice Chair. <br />RECOMMENDATION - It is recommended that following appointment of <br />three individuals that the appointments be made to the Chair and <br />Vice Chair positions. Th(. Planning Commission recommended the <br />continuance of Charles Kelley as Chair and Maureen Bellows as <br />Vice Chair. <br />PROPOSED MOTION - Moved by _, seconded by _, that the Orono <br />City Council select _ , _ _ and _ for three year Planning <br />Commission terms effectTve April 1, T5B9 together with appointing <br />as Chair and _ as Vice Chair for one year terms.
