Selection of a means to address those concerns. <br />INTRODUCTION - When this issue was raised again last fall, <br />Hennepin County developed three alternatives to address the <br />problem and in response to Mr. David Singer's issue related to <br />Site distances on the curves developed another alternative which <br />would be a variation on one of the first three. <br />DIgCUSSION - A review of Attachments A and B indicate the <br />necessary issues re''ted to this item. <br />ALTERNATIVES - <br />1. POLICY ALTEyJATIVES <br />A. Eliminate all parking. <br />B. Widen the shoulder to 10 feet and provide for double <br />striped fog line and curbing to encourage people to park <br />away from the traveled portion of the road. <br />C. Removal of up to six parking spots along this route <br />to allow for clear pedestrians zones. <br />Variation on B in which four slots would be removed <br />around the curve to improve site distances for other <br />pedestrians walking between cars further along the route. ^ <br />2. ACTION <br />A. Adopt a selected method for addressing the problems. <br />B. Determine other alternatives.
