Q <br />Approved by the Orono Board of Education - January 9, 1989 <br />Orono I.S.O. #278 <br />INDEMNITY AGREEMENT <br />3 <br />The undersigned, on behalf of Orono Independent School District No. 278, hereby <br />agrees to indemnify Alfred Hoskins for any activity undertaken in the perfor­ <br />mance of his duties and responsibilities as mandated by the Federal Asbestos <br />Hazard Emergency Response Act, as amended 1988, and all regulations issued pur­ <br />suant thereto (both Federai and State). This indemnity applies to providing a <br />defense, with an attorney chosen by the designated person and/or reimbursement <br />of reasonable attorney's fees incurred by said designated person and extends to <br />payment of any and all damage awards, consequential and punitive, which may be <br />awarded based on the activities of the designated person. <br />This Indemnity Agreement shall remain in full force and efiect unless it is <br />amended in writing and/or revoked in writing with proof of service upon the <br />designated person covered. In the event 'lie Indemnity Agreement is terminated, <br />the designated person has no further responsibilities to act as designated per­ <br />son under the Federal or State guidelines, regulation and statutes. <br />I, David McKown, Chairman, hereby certify that I have the authority to represent <br />the Orono Independent School District and extend the above Indemnity Agreement <br />for the benefit of Alfred Hoskins. <br />Date Chairman, Orono School Board
