irrioMevT B <br />CITY OF ORONO - PERSONNEL DIARY <br />The following represents significant personnel actions during the <br />year: <br />- Officers Toracheck and Morowczynski were recommended for <br />the Police Officer of the Year Award by Chief Kilbo. <br />- Teri Naab completed her third year of training by the <br />Clerks Institute and awaits certification based on <br />membership with the Minnesota Clerks and Finance <br />Officers Association. <br />- Lyle Oman received his Class II Building Official <br />Certification which qualified him to conduct inpsections <br />on all phases of construction (residential^ commercial <br />and industrial). <br />- Authorization in 1988 to convert the Recorder's position <br />to full time. <br />- The part time position that was used to fill during <br />Officer Kirnyczuk's absence was made a regular part time <br />position because of Long Lake's decrease in contractual <br />personnel. <br />- New employees: <br />Laurie Scheffler as the City's Recorder <br />James Morrow as a part time Police Officer <br />Randy O'Brien as a Utility Maintenance Worker <br />Barry Rathbun as a Utility Maintenance Worker <br />Kevin Walsh as Animal Control <br />- Employee departures during year were; <br />Jerry Smith as Utility Maintenance Worker <br />Patti Peterson as the City's Recorder <br />Rick Dennison city's Animal Control Officer <br />Michael Kirnyczuk on a medical retirement <br />- Council Recognition <br />Tom Kuehn received special recognition for his <br />superior efforts in preparing the 1987 Financial <br />Report in an expanded, informative format. <br />Mel Kilbo was recognized for his excellent efforts in <br />drug enforcement.
