Acceptance of the report by the Council. <br />INTRODUCTION - As has been done the last four years the staff has <br />prepared a summary of major items for the municipal corporation <br />of the City of Orono. <br />DISCUSSION - The information prepared attempts to put the year in <br />perspective from a National, State and Local view point. The <br />issues mentioned for the organization are ones felt appropriate <br />as highlights of 1988. It is helpful to compare the statistical <br />index kept by the City with the Financial Health report prepared <br />by the State. Some of the statistics differ in that they are <br />done at differing times of the year, but provide a check and <br />balance. <br />As additions to the Corporate Report this year the staff has also <br />attached its summary of Cash, Expenditures and Revenues together <br />with the summary of its investment portfolio for the Council's <br />acceptance. <br />ALTERNATIVES <br />1. Accept. <br />2. Request additional information. <br />3. Amend and adopt. <br />RECOMMENDATION - It is recommended that the Council accept the <br />information as presented which will be additionally transmitted <br />to the community in summary form through the Mayor's Article. <br />PROPOSED MOTION - Moved by _, seconded by that the Council <br />accepts the Corporate Report and other relevant financial <br />information for 1988.
