decisions for ORONO - If the City of Orono desires it can <br />express its viewpoint to the City Council of Medina and the <br />County Board as whether County 116 should go ahead. Apart from <br />that the decisions the City of Orono has regarding this project <br />are: <br />a. Completion of 116 construction from the Medina/Orono <br />border to County Road 6. <br />b. Allowing the County the take over Willow Drive from <br />County Road 6 to Highway 12. <br />c. Other considerations such as assistance to Long Lake <br />for reconstruction of the Willow bridge in the future <br />and the City not having to pay as much for the Willow <br />leg of the Willow/Highway 12 signalization. <br />ALTERNATIVES - <br />1. Table for further di&cussion until the January 23, 1989 <br />meeting. (The County had been requested to the January 9th <br />meeting but the principal individuals who should be present at <br />the meeting were not available until the 23rd. The City had <br />originally expected that this matter would be considered in the <br />February 1989 timeframe and had expressed that to the County in <br />early December, prior to the last Council meeting.) <br />2. Undertake a resolution to the City of Medina and the County <br />Board expressing: <br />a. Opposition to the project. <br />b. Support of the project. <br />3. Take no action. <br />RECOMMENDATION - It is recommended that the item be tabled until <br />presentation by the County at its January 23, 1989 Council <br />meeting. <br />TROPOSED MOTION - Moved by __, seconded by __, that the Council <br />table discussion of the item until the Council's January 23, 1989 <br />Council meeting.
