And yes, we would want to the study to both
look at the level of increases needed to pay for future projects planned on our CIP and looking for the study to review
history/consumption to inform the City if it would need to change the way it charges. Through the years, we have had
numerous complaints on our rates compared to neighboring cities. I did an internal study in 2019 but that was a very
informal/simple study and we are looking to get a third party's expertise.
Thanks!
Maggie An
Finance Director
2750 Kelley Parkway I Orono, MN 55356
(952) 249-4611
miin(d),oronomn.gov
From: Nick Anhut <NAnhut@ehlers-inc.com>
Sent: Wednesday, February 5, 2025 5:10 PM
To: Maggie Jin <miin@oronomn.gov>
Subject: RE: Utility Rate Study Inquiry
Hello Maggie,
Yes, we do and can certainly put together a general quote.
I am wondering if you could elaborate a bit more on the purpose and intent for study:
209
